Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the narubot™ website (https://narubot.narubox.com), demo chatbots, online checkout and the narubot™ software (together, the “Service”) operated by NaruBox™ (“we”, “us”).

1. Definitions

• User: anyone who visits the site or uses the demo chatbots, contact form or checkout.
• Customer: an institution that buys a license, initial tuning, installation, maintenance or a subscription — or a partner company buying on its behalf.
• Partner: a company that resells, installs or supports our software for institutions.
• License: the right to use the narubot™ software under the stated conditions. It does not transfer ownership of the software.

2. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. We will post the change and its effective date on this site at least 7 days in advance (30 days for changes that are materially adverse to you). If you continue to use the Service after the effective date, you accept the updated Terms.

3. Demo chatbots and answers

• Institution names in the demos (e.g. “○○ District Office”) are fictional; the demos are not official services of any real institution.
• Answers are informational, built from published official materials. They are not legal, medical, tax or administrative advice and may be out of date or not fit your situation. Always confirm important matters with the cited source or the institution.
• Do not enter personal data (ID numbers, contact details, health data) into the chatbot. Questions are stored for statistics and improvement (see our Privacy Policy).

4. Acceptable use

You must not misuse the Service, including: using another person's identity or false information; excessive automated access, probing or exploiting vulnerabilities; copying, distributing, reverse-engineering the software or forging/sharing license keys; or any unlawful use.

5. Purchases

• You can buy online (/en/buy) or through a partner. Prices and inclusions are as shown on the pricing page; a separate contract with a partner prevails where it exists.
• Payments are processed by Stripe. We never store your card details.
• Prices are charged as shown, without added tax. We do not issue Korean tax invoices.
• Refunds and cancellations follow our Payment & Refund Policy.

6. License

• A license is a perpetual right for one institution to use the software within the agreed server, domain, number of chatbots and languages (a subscription: for the subscription period).
• License keys are issued by us and may not be moved to another institution or resold, except under a partner supply agreement with us.
• We own all copyright and intellectual property in the software, its answer engine, screens and documentation. The materials you provide, and the institution-specific Q&A built from them, belong to you.
• If maintenance ends, the chatbot keeps running; new versions, security updates and regular tuning are provided only during maintenance.

7. Availability

We make every effort to keep the Service available, but it may be interrupted for maintenance, upgrades, failures or events beyond our control. For on-premise installations, the customer or partner operates the server, network and backups.

8. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

THE FREE WEBSITE AND DEMO CHATBOTS ARE PROVIDED “AS IS”, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, AND OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY PAID SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU ACTUALLY PAID FOR THAT SERVICE. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law (for example, for intentional misconduct or gross negligence).

9. Privacy

We handle personal data as described in our Privacy Policy.

10. Notices and contact

We post notices on this site or email the address you gave us. Questions or complaints: narubox.com@gmail.com or the contact form. We reply within 2 business days.

11. Governing law and disputes

• These Terms (English version) are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
• We will first try to resolve any dispute informally. Otherwise, disputes shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Williamson County, Texas, and both parties consent to their jurisdiction — except where mandatory consumer law gives you the right to sue in your own country.
• If the Korean and English versions differ, the version in the language you used to purchase or use the Service prevails for you.

These Terms are effective as of 2026-10-28.
